Wonderful Wednesday Argonauts,

DID YOU KNOW: 

In the Thai Solar Calendar each day of the week is represented by a color. Wednesday is represented by green.

FROM THE OFFICES OF AHS: 

- Benchmarks begin on 10/6. For our freshmen and transfer students, this will be their first experience with our benchmarks–a multi-part cumulative mastery assessment. 

-  October 12, there will be PSAT for 10th grade and 11th grade (9th and 12th no school)

- NOTE: If there is ever a fire drill or actual fire emergency during lunch, students will exit the cafeteria & find their second period teacher in the parking lot reunification area. 

FROM THE GUIDANCE OFFICE:

UBP HIGHLIGHTS→ :

  • Be in the correct uniform.
  • Remain awake, alert, and engaged in class.
  • Come to class on time and be prepared to learn.

IF YOU ARE IN UNIFORM, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE:  

  • ID around the neck on a school lanyard
  • Navy or White Polo Shirt, 
  • Khaki pants/Bottoms (From Schoolbelles) 
  • Shoes

UPCOMING SPORTING EVENTS & NEWS 

Soccer: 

Our Riverside Soccer teams’ season ended last on Monday with a 6-2 loss to Covenant Christian in the first round of sectional play. Thank you to Coach Mann, Coach Craig, the player- especially our beloved seniors- for a great season. We are proud of you all.

Volleyball:

Volleyball played well yesterday & lost a hard fought match 3-0 to Purdue Poly North. After the game, Mr Hughes recognized our special group of seniors, along with their families. Thank you to Belinda Palaguachi-Ramirez, Stacey Karrick, & Bre'Nijah Hollis. 

Cross Country:

Sat 10/8 Sectionals at Ben Davis High School 9:00 AM

Girls Basketball:

There will be no workouts on Wed 10/5. Coach Harris would like the  team to focus on passing the benchmark that they are taking this week & be refreshed & ready for Try-Outs on October 17, the first day of practice. He looks forward to seeing you all on the 17th. 

Boys Basketball:

Boys Basketball will have workouts in the gym on Wednesday (10/5) and Thursday (10/6) of this week, from 6:30-8:30.  You must have a physical on file to participate.  See Mr. Harris in room 402 if you have any questions.

- Are you a good artist? Do you want to be a good artist? Come to Latin club Tuesday 10/4 to draw your favorite mythological figures -- in chalk!

- Marvel club will resume 10/18 in 108! Good luck on your Benchmarks and have a great Fall Break!

For many employees, Tuesday is apparently the most productive day of the working week.

- Benchmarks begin on 10/6. For our freshmen and transfer students, this will be their first experience with our benchmarks–a multi-part cumulative mastery assessment.
